Christmas Show:

Christmas Show is just that, a Christmas production.  This is a professional performance put on annually by Modern Messages Dance Co.  The cast is very large and accommodates all ages and all levels for those who have at least one year of dance experience.  Students who participate in Christmas Show must be enrolled in two additional dance classes.  Auditions are held at the end of August and rehearsals begin right away.

The week before most kids resume school for the fall, is production week.  Production week is Monday through Thursday after 4 p.m.  and only requires dancers who are casted into the parts that will be rehearsed to attend.  After production week is over rehearsals are usually every other Friday/Saturday for each person until the show gets closer, then cast members may be required to come every Saturday and Some Fridays for the few weeks leading up to the show.  The show is performed in December.

The Spring Ballet:

The Spring ballet is another annual production put on by Modern Messages Dance Co.  Unlike the Christmas Show, the Ballet is different every year.  Those who are interested in auditioning must be eight years old and must be in at least Beg. I year 2 ballet level (although some years we allow beginner I ballet dancers to participate as well).  Dancers are required to come to company class every Saturday, but may not need to stay for rehearsal every Saturday.  Rehearsals for each dancer will depend on what scenes are being rehearsed each week.  Auditions are held in early January and the performance is usually in March or April.
